FAQ

>>>Will the course be very technical?
We'll try and make it interesting but all unnecessary stumps and obstacles will be removed. The route will consist of mostly wide singletrack.
>>>Do team mates have to ride in sequence?
No, team mates can ride in any order they want. BUT: There can be no more than 2 laps difference between team mate(s) with the least number of laps and the teammate with the most number of laps. A one lap penalty will be applied for each teammate who does not stay within two laps of the teammate with the most laps. For the Fun and Mixed category, the lap difference can not be more than 4 laps between team mates.
This means that you can have the stronger nightriders play in the dark - while keeping the dayriding for the nocturnally challenged.
>>>How much light do I need after dark?
The more light, the faster you'll travel. There will be a central charging station provided. You can get away with two sets of good lights per team.
Tape a few torches to the handlebar - get creative and bring lots of batteries
>>>When is the race finished?
The race finishes after 12H00 Sunday afternoon. This means that you cannot stop riding before 12H00 or you will be a DNF (Did not Finish). If you finish a lap at 11H59 you will have to start a new lap!
>>>Does all teammates have to sign an indemnity form?
Yes. The team captain can bring all the forms to the registration tables at the venue on Saturday morning. No numbers will be issued without signed indeminty for each rider.
>>>Can we change team mates after the entry has been send in?
Yes, but a R50 admin fee will be charged for any changes at registration.
>>>How many hangers-on can I bring?
Each team or solo rider can bring 2 support crew for free. Other extra campers will have to pay R50 per person per night. They can pay at the camping gate. Spectators pay R20 per day.

• Eat reasonable sized portions. Do not overeat between laps. Digestion will make your tired & groggy. Replenishing your electrolytes is the key element to staying hydrated.
• Electrolytes. What are they? Electrolytes will enhance your performance by providing your body with necessary sugars and carbohydrates.
